Vitamin water not all it's cracked up to be????

CHOICE has done a review of vitamin enhanced waters and the results are generally not positive.

Their findings show that some of the products currently available contain enough sugar in one 500ml bottle to give an average woman 1/3 of her recommended daily sugar intake.

These products are booming in sales, and there is an increasing number of them now available. The labelling and marketing of them strongly promotes health benefits. It raises the ongoing question of labelling requirements and what they actually mean.

The consumer organisation is recommending that people should not be regularly buying and consuming these expensive"lolly waters". Their fear is that as people are now looking for healthy foods, these products will be consumed and really only add to our increasing obesity rate whilst not actually achieving many health benefits.
