Food Safety Training

AnYi has been running basic food safety training that meets the requirements of the Food Standards Code for more than 10 years. The training is tailored to the type of business and it's specific requirements.

The Initial Food Safety Workshop

  • Designed to provide the attendees with the required food safety skills and knowledge to do their job
  • Four hours at your venue, with a short break in the middle
  • The workshop is interactive and tailored to each specific business and its needs
  • The dates and time of the Workshop is at a time that suits the business
  • A Food Safety Licence is provided to each attendee once they have successfully completed the Quiz
  • A set of Training Notes is provided to each attendee and a copy for the business to file with their Training Records
  • The business receives a copy of the Training Log, to show who attended
  • Classes of up to 20 attendees
  • The following is a short summary of the material covered during the Workshop
    • Temperature Control - use of thermometers, 2/4Hour Rule, key temperatures, thawing
    • Hygiene - handwashing, use of gloves, aprons, Cleaning etc
    • Hazards - discussion about the three hazards and their controls
    • Potentially hazardous foods
    • High Risk Foods
    • Contamination and Cross Contamination
    • Allergens - what and how to control them
    • Stock Rotation - FIFO, Use by Dates and Best Before Dates
    • Food Safety Programs - who has to have them and what is in them
    • Record keeping - why and how
    • Food Safety Supervisors

Annual Food Safety Workshops - food safety can be fun!!!!!!!!

  • Done annually for those businesses that have already done the Initial Food Safety Workshop
  • Interactive and fun
  • Includes a brief overview of the material in the Initial Food Safety Workshop to ensure that new staff are trained
  • Can be either of the following, to keep attendees interest
    • a series of case studies with problem identification and then determining suitable corrective and prevenatative actions
    • "The How Safe Is Your Food? Game"
  • Attendees receive a Food Safety Licence upon completion of the Workshop
  • Business receives a copy of the Training Log

Although AnYi is not an RTO, accredited food safety training is available in some basic hospitality units.

Internal Auditor and Allergen Training

  • These are also available as either part of a Food Safety Program but can be done as stand alone workshops.
  • Four hours at your venue, with a short break in the middle
  • The workshop is interactive and tailored to each specific business and its needs
  • The dates and time of the Workshop is at a time that suits the business
  • A Food Safety Licence is provided to each attendee once they have successfully completed the Audit
  • Includes at least one practice audit during the workshop
  • Classes of no more than six attendees
  • Will provide attendees with the skills and knowledge to set up an allergen or internal audit program specifically for their businesses

Food Safety Webinars

These are now available for those businesses in regional or remote areas. With a computer and speakers, tailored food safety training can be done in your business. A food safety licence will be issued to each attendee who successfully completes the workshop and quiz.
